When the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill occurred, citizens along the Gulf Coast immediately began to wonder how the event would forever change their lives. As it became more and more apparent the oil would indeed reach the sugar white sand beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, city officials began to brainstorm about how to handle the situation to ensure our cleanup process could be expeditious and carried out diligently.

Kaiser Realty, Inc. Director of Sales / Gulf Shores City Councilman, Steve Jones, decided that he needed to do what he could to preserve the integrity of the area as well as provide a service to beach lovers nationwide. We just wrapped up the February 2011 Kaiser Realty Tour of Condos and the turn out has been great. The event featured properties from both Kaiser Realty’s Rental and Sales Departments, providing opportunities for both those looking to book for next year and those looking for a more permanent residence on the Gulf Coast. Right renovations pay off in slow market

Remodeling Magazine’s 2008-2009 Cost vs. Value Report, produced each year in conjunction with Realtor Magazine, contains good news about the value of remodeling projects.

The recent Cost vs. Value Report showed that renovations on a nationwide basis held their value better than home prices did in 2008. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), home prices declined 7 percent in 2008, while the value of homeowners’ investments in remodeling dropped only 2.8 percent in 2008.

Searching for a home can be draining in “normal” times. When inventory is high and home mortgages are more difficult to obtain, the process of finding a property and securing financing can be downright exhausting.

“Creating financing” is one of the items that is “in” for 2009, according to an annual survey conducted by Mark Nash, a Coldwell Banker broker and real estate author who uses a network of 839 Realtors in all 50 states and eight Canadian provinces to acquire consumer responses to a variety of housing questions.

Billed as the “Largest Shotgun Start in the World”, Kaiser Realty was a hole sponsor for the event and also sponsored a team in the tournament. Former Auburn University Football All-American and St. Louis Cardinal safety Larry Willingham is a Kaiser sales associate and a member of the ASHOF. “What we wanted to do was make it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest shotgun start for a golf tournament in the history of the world. Kaiser Realty, Inc. sales assiciates took to the links at the Cypress Bend course at Craft Farms Aug. 24 as part of the annual Mary’s Shelter golf tournament. Kaiser Realty and Cosmo’s Restaurant and Bar were the title sponsors of the tourney. Mary’s Shelter is a home in the Elberta area that provides housing, education, counseling and supportive services for young women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.  “We were more than pleased to sponsor the tournament and support Mary’s Shelter,” Kaiser Realty Vice-President Glen Kaiser said. “The great work Jo Godfrey, Jack Gleeson and the others at Mary’s Shelter do can’t really be described with just words.
