Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s is hosting its 1st Annual Crazy Sista Beach Party, inviting all the crazy sistas to join together for a weekend dedicated to them. The men that love these fearless women are invited too. There will be music, art, food and much more, all headed by women.

Musical acts will include Charmaine Neville, November 1st. One November 2nd there will be Larkin Poe, Sirius Plan featuring Donna Hall, and Tedeschi Trucks Band. More musical acts will be announced just visited the LuLu’s website.

Tickets are $50 General Admission (include shirt and ticket to 3 day event), $150 VIP (includes goodie bag and ticket). Portion of the proceeds to benefit the Lucy Love Fund.

The bulls are taking over the beach at the world famous Flora-Bama. Come down and join the excitement of professional bull riding, September 13 and 14th. Saturday, October 19, 2013 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Enjoy the smells and taste of Southern culinary classics prepared by locally famous chefs. Take in the sights and sounds of the streets of Historic Downtown Foley as you stroll past unique artisans and crafters.

Parking and Admission
Admission to the festival is free on Saturday. Free parking is located throughout the streets of Historic Downtown Foley. All parking is within a short walking distance to the festival grounds. Designated parking areas are reserved for Handicapped Parking (with appropriate decals), VIP Parking (pass required) and Volunteer Parking (pass required).

Maps and Directions
The festival is located in the streets of Historic Downtown Foley – Orange Avenue from Hwy. 59 to Alston Street, Alston Street between Orange Avenue and Jessamine Street.

From Interstate 10, take the Highway 59 exit (Loxley) travel south on Highway 59 approximately 15 miles. Turn right onto Highway 98. Festival grounds will be on your left and right as you approach the intersection of Hwy 98 and Alston Street.

Its that time of the year when seafood, great music, and art come together for a family friendly beach celebration. From October 10th through the 13th, the beautiful Gulf Shores public beach is lined with upwards of 50 local and regional vendors with delicious varieties of coastal cuisine. Boasting 200 vendors with tons of arts and crafts in tow, something is sure to catch the eye of someone in your group! As you check out the arts and try all the wonderful food, your ear can catch the sounds of many wonderful musicians.

With two stages, your are bound to hear something you like. With alternative rock group Everclear, country band BlackJack Billy’s, Motown sounds of the Tip Tops, and the 70s and 80s fun fill group Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monsters to name a few, you are sure to be tapping your foot. Music takes place Thursday through Saturday kicking off at 10:00 a.m. and running until 10:00 p.m. and Sunday until 5:00 p.m.

They are many other activities taking place over the weekend to help put you in the seafood spirit! You are invited to show off your speed and endurance at the annual 5k and 10k race; registration fees are $20 by September 20th and $25 by October 12th. Families can also sign up the for the Sand Sculpture Contest taking place on October 12th.

In addition to he amazing food, music and art features, there will also be an Outdoor World and Shrimp Festival Idol crowed during the event, featuring scholarships being awarded to the top 3 contestants.

With all these fun activities, there is something for everyone in the family at the 42nd Annual National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores!

USSSA Softball World Series is taking over the Gulf Coast, July 22-26. With games taking place at the Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Foley Sports Complexes one can easily catch a game.

Just as the Softball World Series is coming to an end, the USSSA AAA Baseball Tournament will just be heating up. July 25-28, the AAA Baseball Tournament will be invading Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Come watch the best high school qualifiers in these All-Star Games.

The USSSA is having it’s  Summer’s End Tournament in beautiful Orange Beach and you thought the softball fun was over. Come watch over 20 teams compete July 27-28.
